Getting Started

How do I start tracking time?

Simply tap the large timer button on the home screen. Select a category (or create a new one), and time tracking begins automatically. Tap again to stop.

Can I edit time entries after recording them?

Yes! Tap on any time entry in your history to edit the start time, end time, category, or add notes.

How do I add manual time entries?

Tap the "+" button in the top right corner of the home screen. Select "Manual Entry" and enter your start/end times, category, and optional notes.

Premium Features

What's included in Premium?

Premium includes: Unlimited categories, PDF invoice reports, advanced analytics, goal tracking, iCloud sync, CSV export, Pomodoro timer, break reminders, and widgets.

How do I upgrade to Premium?

Open TimeKit → Settings → Upgrade to Premium. Choose monthly ($2.99) or yearly ($24.99) and complete purchase through Apple's App Store.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, anytime! Go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → TimeKit → Cancel Subscription. Your premium access continues until the end of your billing period.

Can I share Premium with family?

Yes! TimeKit supports Apple Family Sharing. Your Premium subscription can be shared with up to 5 family members. Each person has their own private time tracking data.

Reports & Exports

How do I generate PDF invoice reports?

Premium feature: Go to Reports tab → Select date range → Tap "Generate PDF Report". Customize with your business details, hourly rate, and client information. Share via email or save to Files.

Can I export data to CSV/Excel?

Premium feature: Go to Settings → Export Data → Choose CSV format. Export all time entries for use in Excel, Google Sheets, or accounting software.

Privacy & Data

Where is my data stored?

All your time tracking data is stored locally on your iPhone. We do NOT upload your data to any servers. If you enable iCloud sync (Premium), data is backed up to your personal iCloud account (encrypted end-to-end).

Do you show ads?

No! TimeKit is completely ad-free for both free and premium users. We respect your focus and privacy.

How do I delete my data?

To delete all data: Simply delete the TimeKit app from your device. If you enabled iCloud sync, also go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → TimeKit → Delete Data.

Troubleshooting

Timer stopped tracking in the background

iOS may limit background activity to save battery. To ensure reliable tracking: 1) Keep TimeKit in the foreground when possible, 2) Enable notifications for timer alerts, 3) Check iOS Settings → Battery → Low Power Mode is OFF.

My purchase didn't restore

Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used to purchase Premium. Try: Open TimeKit → Settings → Restore Purchases. If issues persist, email us at support@timekitapp.com.

iCloud sync isn't working

Check: 1) You have Premium subscription active, 2) iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → iCloud Drive is ON, 3) TimeKit has iCloud permission, 4) Both devices are signed into the same Apple ID.
